WISE CHILDREN TRAINEESHIPS
The School for Wise Children Traineeships are paid, mentored posts on Wise Children productions and School for Wise Children courses.
Whilst some Traineeships are open call, many are offered to those who have come through a School for Wise Children course, as the culmination of their time training with us. Each of our productions has provided a range of training opportunities and the next generation of directors, composers, sound technicians and stage managers have been mentored by Emma Rice and her team. Our Trainee Director on Bagdad Cafe, Amelia, created a rehearsal diary during her time with us.
We work with partners to deliver our traineeships including the RTYDS, and the Theatre Artists fund who will be funding an upcoming traineeship for a wardrobe technician, in association with York Theatre Royal.

Through our Traineeships, we want to play a part in creating a cultural workforce that truly reflects the world we live in, and so we have a particular focus on theatre makers from groups currently underrepresented in the arts.
